People found a very big and special bathhouse in the old city of Pompeii, Italy. This bathhouse was under rocks and ash for 2,000 years. It has rooms for hot, warm, and cold baths. It also has beautiful art and a big pool. The bathhouse was in a big house that people found over the last two years. They think a rich man who was important in Pompeii owned the house and bathhouse.

In the same house, they found two skeletons. These were people who died when a mountain called Mount Vesuvius erupted long ago. One skeleton was a woman with jewelry and coins. The other was a young man. They tried to hide from the hot gas and ash, but they did not survive. The woman was older and maybe important. The young man had keys and might have worked for the woman.

The bathhouse and the house are very important finds. They show us how rich people lived in Pompeii. They had beautiful rooms to eat, bathe, and pray. But they also show us the hard life of slaves.
