Chancellor Rachel Reeves talks about changes in the UK economy. She says some benefits will not go up with inflation until after 2030. Young people under 22 cannot get some extra money if they are sick. The government will also check more carefully who can get disability benefits.
The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) says the UK economy will grow slower this year. But it will grow more in the next four years. Inflation will be higher this year but will go down by 2027. The government wants to balance spending and taxes by 2030.
The government plans to spend more on the military. They will spend less on overseas aid to pay for this. They also want to cut government costs and reduce jobs in the civil service. This means some people will lose their jobs.
