Ukraine did not like Trump's words. They said Trump is wrong. Russia started the war in 2022. Russia took Crimea in 2014. Ukraine did not start the fight. Ukraine wants peace, but Russia attacked them.

Ukraine has not had elections because of the war. Zelensky became president in 2019. His time as president ends in 2024. But they cannot have elections now. Many people in Ukraine agree with this. They want to wait until the war is over.
