Many people in Lebanon got hurt because small machines called pagers exploded. These pagers are used for talking by a group named Hezbollah. On Tuesday, these pagers blew up and hurt about 2,800 people. Nine people died. People do not know who made this happen. Hezbollah says Israel did it, but Israel has not said anything.

The pagers started to explode in the afternoon in Beirut, the big city of Lebanon, and other places. People saw smoke and heard loud sounds like fireworks. The explosions went on for about one hour. After that, many hurt people went to hospitals. The people had bad injuries on their hands and faces. Some people lost fingers or hands.

No one has said they made the pagers explode. But the leader of Lebanon and Hezbollah say Israel did it. Israel has not said anything about this. People think Israel and Hezbollah do not like each other. They have been fighting for a long time. Now, people are worried that the fighting will get worse because of the explosions.
